ANTENNA Group goes “over the top” and expands its reach in a streaming-first world launching its new streaming service, ANT1+ (antennaplus.gr), in Greece & Cyprus.
ANT1+ features a collection of premium original Greek content and exciting local & international content acquisitions, fully curated to the needs and preferences of the Greek audience. Only on ANT1+, subscribers will enjoy a superior viewing experience that will comprise ANT1+ Originals, premium original series, starting with SERRES by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, bundled with a rich array of exclusive international series, critically-acclaimed international movies and series, first-run modern Greek movies, fun kids content, exciting documentaries, live music concerts and, of course, the complete library of ANT1 TV.
The new streaming service will be widely available to consumers who can access the platform from all digital devices, Android & IOS mobile devices and any Smart TV (Samsung, LG & Android TV). Subscribers will have the opportunity to enjoy ad-free content at HD quality through a 14-day free trial and a welcome offer at €4.99/month for the first three months. Following that period, subscription will cost €7.99/month.
ANT1+ in a nutshell:
ANT1+ Originals: The streamer will be the exclusive SVOD home of ANT1+ Originals. ANT1+ is developing a strong originals slate, anchored with and inspired by the legacy of ANT1’s excellence and award-winning storytelling. Transitioning to on-demand content debuts with “SERRES”, the new series written by Yorgos Kapoutzidis and directed by Stamatis Patronis, with a supreme cast that includes Panos Natsis, Giorgos Gallos, Lena Drosaki, Marilou Katsafadou and Giouli Tsagaraki. SERRES will lead the way for other Greek original productions influenced by the cinematic quality of premium foreign productions, and more original programming will follow within 2022, available exclusively on ANT1+. Among others, the premium Greek-Turkish adaptation of the popular Scandinavian series THE BRIDGE, with its plot unfolding simultaneously in Athens and Istanbul, written by Kostas Gerampinis and Dimitris Emmanouilidis, and an all-star cast: Manto Giannikou, Burak Hakki, Pinelopi Tsikila, Akillas Karazisis, Nikos Psarras and others. Soon after, THE FRIEND, the very first series written by Foteini Atheridou, starring Giorgos Chrysostomou, Katerina Mavrogiorgi, Michael Tampakakis, Fiona Georgiadi and many more, will join the rest of the ANT1+ Originals.
International movies & series: ANT1+ has established strategic partnerships with leading international content producers and distributors (NBC, ΙTV, NENT, etc.) to secure exclusive streaming rights for binge-worthy series, such as Devils (Patrick Dempsey), Dr. Death (Joshua Jackson, Alec Baldwin), Intelligence (David Schwimmer), Belgravia, and many more that will stream for the first time in Greece as part of the platform’s exclusive content. The platform’s library will also offer a roster of key third-party licensed programs and fan-favorite films, including Manchester by the Sea, Snow White and the Huntsman and Gladiator.
Greek movies & series: In addition to its international content, ANT1+ will be the ultimate home to first-run compelling Greek movies, post their theatrical release, such as Man of God, Smyrna, Raftis and Pretty Little Horses. Moreover, ANT1+ will feature popular contemporary and classic Greek movies, such as Ftina Tsigara, I Agapi Einai Elefantas, I Aliki Sto Naftiko and Kokkina Fanaria.
Also, with ANT1+ Lite, users will have the chance to enjoy a 30-day catch-up of all new episodes of ANT1’s current series and shows for free, while ANT1+ subscribers will have permanent & unlimited access to all episodes from ANT1’s iconic 30-year library series and shows.
Kids content: younger subscribers will have the chance to discover specially curated entertaining and educational movies and series, such as Shrek, Despicable Me, Morph and many more.
LIVE channels: Endless music streaming with the latest video clips of hit songs and live concerts of popular singers on Just Music, classic Greek comedy shows on ANT1 Comedy and favorite drama series on ANT1 Drama.
