Antenna Group Responds To COVID-19 Crisis, Makes Major Donation To Greece’s National Health System

Athens, April 2020 – Antenna Group, the international media and entertainment organization, announced a major donation to support the National Health System of Greece. The company, that has significant operations in the country, will provide the Greek Ministry of Health with 60 highly specialized medical apparatus, 20 next generation medical monitors and 40 advanced technology stretchers.

The Greece-based companies of Antenna Group demonstrated on Friday their ongoing support to the national effort against the coronavirus pandemic by securing and delivering to the state critical medical equipment. The supplies were sourced directly by the Group’s services, despite the shortages and without adding workload to the healthcare authorities. They will be distributed to communities in need and hospitals directly by the Ministry of Health.

As part of the donation, Antenna Group will deliver a series of next generation medical monitors that are necessary for patients in intensive care units across the nation. It will also equip the authorities with a number of advanced technology stretchers that are designed to shield nursing staff and doctors, the unsung heroes at the frontline of the crisis, from the transmission of the virus.

The company was among the first corporations to apply special work-safety protection measures for its staff across its offices. It responded swiftly to the increase in demand for news coverage about the pandemic by adjusting the programming of its media operations and reallocating resources. The Group’s media outlets, across TV, radio and digital, remain the most trusted news sources in the region.

Antenna Group is committed to leveraging all its corporate resources to serve the needs of the public. “In this unprecedented and difficult reality everybody should do their part”, said Theo Kyriakou, the Chairman of Antenna Group.
