Antenna Group agrees with Fairfax Financial on investment in Antenna Plus

Amsterdam, March 21, 2023 – Antenna Group has agreed with Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (Fairfax) to participate in a capital increase, following which, Fairfax will hold a 15% stake in its streaming service, Antenna Plus (ANT1+), the leading Greek OTT platform.

Having launched in April 2022, Netherlands based, ANT1+ has already attracted a significant subscriber base in Greece and Cyprus where it is available.  ANT1+ carries more than 7.000 titles and currently delivers premium content, including the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Formula 1 motor racing, local dramas which have attracted international distribution interest, as well as global video content.

Fairfax is a prominent and established investor in Greek businesses. The agreement will see Antenna Group and Fairfax further develop and expand ANT1+ into an industry leading OTT platform.  Through investments in technology, quality content, new productions and partnerships, the partnership is expected to lead to increased local subscription as well as international growth by expanding into new markets across the CEE region within the year.
