The Hellenic Red Cross honored ANTENNA Group

Athens, November 2021 – In a glorious ceremony, in the peristyle of the Zappeion Megaron, on Thursday (21/10), the Hellenic Red Cross honored its volunteers and the ANTENNA Group for their invaluable contribution to handling the great humanitarian crisis caused by the devastating summer fires in Greece.

A lot of politicians, businessmen, journalists and actors attended to the ceremony in Zappeion on Thursday night, where the President of the Hellenic Red Cross, Dr. Antonios Avgerinos, awarded the highest honorary distinction of HRC, the Golden Cross after the golden branch of Daphne, to the ANTENNA Group Chairman, Mr. Theodore Kyriakou, for his valuable contribution to the huge humanitarian work of HRC. An excellent collaboration that led to the collection of 2.8 million euros in the account of the HRC, which have already started to be distributed to the fire victims.

At the same time, the HRC rewarded its volunteers for their commendable self-sacrifice and for their decisive contribution not only in extinguishing the fires, but also in managing the coronavirus pandemic, as well as other natural disasters.

It is noted that the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, congratulated the coordinated effort of HRC and the ANTENNA Group for the relief of the wildfires victims.
